What We Do

  • We support organizations in strengthening internal capacity, navigating moments of change, and expanding programming to reach new audiences.

  • We design and facilitate multi-disciplinary engagements for learners of all ages. We have experience in both formal and informal learning environments, including universities and K-12 settings.

  • We can work with your organization to help you define and expand your impact. We specialize in action research, participatory research, and qualitative and arts-based methods.

Past work.

The Practice, in collaboration with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) is looking to engage diverse audience perspectives into the exhibit and programming planning at the Chicago Cultural Center (CCC) via the Chicago Cultural Center Audience & Engagement Project.

This initiative will celebrate the existing richness of, and inject new energy into, the historic Chicago Cultural Center, grow Chicago artists & arts organizations use of the space, build programs for diverse audiences, test community engagement strategies and expand the possibilities of the building as a creative hub and artist incubator.

From September 2022-March 2023, The Chicago Cultural Center Audience & Engagement Project will lay the foundation for collective, long-term goal setting, program planning and community engagement.
